What is business fibre?

Fibre built for continuous operation.

Consumer fibre is built for browsing and streaming: best-effort, shared and unsupported outside office hours. Business fibre is engineered for offices that depend on their connection all day: guaranteed bandwidth, symmetrical upload and download, and a service level agreement with consequences if it is not met.

  • Symmetrical upload and download speeds
  • SLA-backed, with priority support rather than a consumer call centre queue
  • Shared or dedicated (uncontended) options
  • Scales from a single office to multi-branch footprints

How pricing worksFixed consumer packagesQuoted per siteQuoted per siteQuoted per site

Speeds depend on the fibre infrastructure already at your building. We confirm exact speeds and pricing during a site assessment.

Beyond the connection

Cisco and HPE Aruba networking, sized to your office.

Cisco switching

Core and access layer switching built for reliability, not the cheapest unmanaged switch available.

HPE Aruba wireless

Enterprise access points with proper site surveys, so there are no dead zones in the boardroom.

One project, one team

Fibre installation and network cabling handled together, not as two separate quotes.

How it works

From address check to a monitored connection.

  1. Tell us your address and headcount

We confirm what is available at your building.

  2. Site assessment

We confirm exact speeds and pricing for your premises.

  3. Install

Fibre, switching, Wi-Fi and structured cabling are handled as one project.

  4. Monitor and support

Proactive 24/7 network monitoring, with one team to call.

How pricing works

Quoted per site, not per package.

We do not publish a single price for business fibre because it depends on your site and requirements: the fibre infrastructure at your building, the speed you need, whether you choose shared or dedicated access, and whether you add backup connectivity. Tell us your address and headcount, and an Innovo specialist will confirm speed and pricing on a short call.

Fibre in Cape Town

Load shedding and your fibre line.

Fibre itself, the glass cable, does not need electricity to carry light. What needs power is the active equipment along the path: the router and ONT at your premises, and your provider's equipment upstream. In practice the most common failure is the router and ONT losing power at your own site.

We size UPS backup for your network core (router, ONT and switch) as standard practice on any connectivity install, and we can add automatic 5G/LTE failover where downtime is costly.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

What is business fibre?+

Business fibre is a fibre internet connection engineered for continuous operation: symmetrical upload and download, a service level agreement and priority support. It differs from consumer fibre, which is best-effort and shared.

How is business fibre different from home fibre?+

Consumer fibre is built for browsing and streaming, is best-effort and shared, and is not supported outside office hours. Business fibre offers guaranteed bandwidth, symmetrical speeds and an SLA-backed service with priority support.

What speeds are available for business fibre in Cape Town?+

From 10 Mbps up to 1 Gbps, depending on the fibre infrastructure already at your building. We confirm exact speeds and pricing during a site assessment.

What is the difference between shared fibre and Dedicated Internet Access?+

Shared business fibre is cost-effective bandwidth for everyday office use, still prioritised above consumer traffic. Dedicated Internet Access is uncontended, symmetrical bandwidth for businesses that cannot tolerate variable speeds.

What happens if the fibre line is cut?+

With dedicated internet access or a bonded connection, a fibre cut does not take you offline: traffic shifts automatically to a backup path. A single shared fibre line can be paired with automatic 5G/LTE failover.

How much does business fibre cost in Cape Town?+

Pricing depends on your site and requirements, so we do not publish a single price. Request a quote or call 021 811 3333 and an Innovo specialist will confirm pricing.

Can you also handle our office network and cabling?+

Yes. Structured cabling, Cisco switching and HPE Aruba Wi-Fi are handled as part of the same project as your fibre installation.

Where is Innovo Networks based?+

Our head office is at The Forum, G07, North Bank Lane, Milnerton, Cape Town 7441. We provide 24/7 support from South African-based engineers and are a B-BBEE Level 1 contributor.
